8 valve head fit 16 valve bottom end??????????

hello every one i got 8 valve vitara with bottom end broken,got 16 valve bottom end in garage will 8 valve head bolt to 16 valve bottom?if any one knows please let me know  cheers

well why dont ya whip the head off and compare the water jackets and oil passages through the block and the head, if they match up they may possibley work, aswell as the head bolts if they all line up correctly..

g16 A or B block will take either head BUT the valve cutouts in the pistons are different!

thanks for info,saying about piston cut out different swop pistons to or  ok to leave in and just put on 8 valve head????thanks
