Slight improvement of approach angle and a bit more space under the wheelarches  ;)
Saves lifting suspension too far (carden props etc) when using hugh tyres.

Range Rover Blues:
As Stve says it's an alternative to a suspension lift, or can be added to a sus lift.  It will save some of the cost involved inn a "proper" lift and keeps the centre of gravity lower which is good.

There are a lot of "incidentals" that don't imeadiately occur but Wizard has doen this beofre and his list is pretty comrehensive.  I'm condidering a small body lift on top of 2" in the suspension, but I'm not sure and I won't have the time this year either.
