Great looking motor just what im trying to do to mine! What size wheels and tyres are you using! I've done the +2"spring lift, flexi arches and winch bumpers ect but undecided on the  wheels/tyres want big and chunky probably cooper stt's but worried about difs and drivetrain if going too big. Rangey does'nt get abused off road mainly greenlaning and the odd pay and play. Any thoughts would be appreciated cheers!

forestrynick:
like that post mate, highlights the progression from road vehicle to what it is now. Think i'd miss mine but have to admit im considering selling, getting tired of 12mpg. It only does offroad events but it limits which ones i can take it too.

How have you gone through 9 diffs? thats some serious bad luck!

Propes I have 235/85 r16 maxi 3Ds (which are really aggressive) and haven't broke anything.... yet! Have police spec springs, 1" body lift and seriously trimmmed arches!

Whats next then?

Nick

ps anybody want to buy a bobtailed rrc! 3.5 su carbs, gnarly 32" tyres, 11" shocks, X9 winch?

propes:
cheers nick, im using 235/85 16's on disco rims with 30mm spacers at mo but looking at getting 33 12.50 15's on black modulars or  maybe 35,s want to get it that high the kids cant get in lol ive done the flexi arch thing and the 235/85 look a bit lost

dod51e:
Truck looks good.

235/85's, 2" suspension lift and 40mm body lift is enough to make the other half struggle to get in
Although I had to give in and put the sissy side steps back on
Still, a few more lanes and they may just have to be replaced with theheavy duty ones (to her but known as roack and tree slides to you and me :-#)

forestrynick:
The current tyres actually measure closer to 33" but im already rubbing on the wheel boxes. Also bear in mind that more flexible suspension travel (not to be confused with lift) will need more wheel arch space. Which flexi arch kit did you get, quite fancy some 34" jungle trekkers but need a bit more space. Reckon i could gain another inch from body lift without compromising too much but don't want to fit stiffer springs.

This is on a truck im thinking about selling!

Nick

ps my side step are definately heavy duty... 2x 50x50 mm box section!
