Too right - the government is tearing it apart in the quest for votes.
Why bother with impartial courts when the Police can be judge, juror and executioner?

It's worse than that. We now have trial by media. They might as well just make the editor of the Daily Wail Home Secretary and cut out the middle man. It wouldn't be that different...
