manufacturing sliders for discos
Disco_Stu:
Yes, I would be interested in a set of sliders with pushers a la Boss for a 5 door D1.
:)

boss:
right o few people have said they would like a set of my sliders, i am happy to make these but i dont want to get into buying lots of materials and equipment and only selling 3 sets or something. prices will not be exyautionate maby 150 a pare if that, but here is the question......will anyone buy them?
i do have a few other ideas such as gearbox guards/skid plates, trailing arms and some other secret things im not disclosing on a public forum.
any ideas/pointers would be appreciated :D

Disco Matt:
I would be hesitant about making suspension components such as trailing arms, mainly as I'd be worried about other people trusting their lives to my welding.
I do think there are a few gaps in what's commercially available for a Disco. For example, barring buying a winch bumper there doesn't seem to be an easy way to add front recovery points which aren't below the bumper (where they invariably end up buried in mud when you need them).
It may also be worth looking at bits for the Disco 2 - there doesn't seem to be much for them at the moment, and with prices dropping more are likely to be used off road.
william127:
are you thinking about making them for range rover classics as well?
boss:
matt- see the secret ideas bit ;) and the arms i have in mine will be machined and no welds will be presant  but then again i am an approved welder.
i am well aware about the bumper predicament this issue will also be adressed when/if i get my feet on the ground!
this is what i mean about it all, if i were to invest in a mig set would there be a call for products which would require this!
will- i see no reason why not. the disco and RRc chassis are baisically the same :D
