Range Rover Blues:
You need to check the switches on the thermostat housing elbow then mate, one of them is supposed to do that for you automatically :)

Also, on a V8 if the fuel rail temp gets too high then the fans switch on if the car is parked :-.

it does but i unplugged it an used wirin to a switch as i didnt want it to come on when off roadin my mates v8 one with air con comes on automatically if it gets too warm for the electric fan to cool down

Ah, righto yes.  Not good to have the fans come on when you've dunked it.  TBH not a probelm I've ever had with mine which are fully auto Kenlowes.  I tend to find the water cools the rad enough.

ive never had em come on myself but was just a precaution just nice to be able to switch it on as an when i wanna not when the car decides to an it would be my luck when i wanted it to come on it wouldnt as after all it is a land rover lol

I have thr other problem, I'd forget to keep an eye on them and cook the engine :roll:
