well i have done somthing ..carnt leave well alone can i!!

i need help if poss after fitting the lift springs and shocks it drove fine for a week etc then today i heard a scaping from front right hand side spring ..

i stoped and oil is leaking from front swivel housing ball on wheel and steering is pulling to lef hand side...also scraping noise when on the move when you turn either way?

can anyone tell me what it is?

my thoughts are that by fitting lift it has put swivel housing balls under pressure and leaked all the grease/ oil out making the spline dry or damaged?

can anyone local help??

I can't imagine the lift having any effect on loadings of the swivel. I suspect the failure is just coinsidence.

Im in nuneaton...somone has said as oil is comming out swivel housing it would be spline bearing?

if any one local o nuneaton who could spare a few hours and who has done this thiers a few cups of tea..with a tad of whiskey..lol..bicys..and a drink in it??

There is a seal in the swivel sphere that runs on the drive shaft. If this fails, axle oil can get into the swivel. It's not a huge job to get it apart, but if you've never done it before allow a good few hours.
