TD5 dash onto a series bulkhead
JAKEYBABY:
I am trying to fit a new TD5 dashboard onto a series 11 bulkhead and i was wondering if anyone had any tips ??
Just so I don`t offend the series owners, this is not a mint show vehicle, it is a hybrid built for offroading 100" galv chassis with a series galv bulkhead, TD5 engine with 3" straight through exhaust.
The reason for the dash conversion are mainly noise reduction, it does look nicer yes but it also gives better places to relocate the ecu, CB, air locker switches and winching switches.
Also have you seen the size of a td5 loom that i have to hide somewhere.
If any of you guys want a very nice series galvanised bulkhead and want to come and help me change mine to a td5 you are more than welcome to it.

Is that not his choice as he owns the vehicle? Sorry cant help on how too fit it but i just get riled when people just pop up on a thread and say "Huh, whats that for , why did you do that?" People like different things and the td5 dash will aid sound proofing aswell as giving extra storage and nice place for the stereo to fit.

would it not be easier to put a td5 bulk head in complete ? are they the same size and profile ?

The bulkhead would fit but you would have to either weld some series hinges on the TD5 for the split screen or use a 90 one piece screen instead.
