Long ranger conversion kit ??

if you moddify the chassis atall it will need an SVA there was whispers of you can get away with cutting down 15% of it with out it needing one but its not true!
i dont think you need one if you just have the kit on there and dont bobtail it but IMO there is no point in making it into a truck with out bobbing it!
the long ranger kit does look good and no doubt its made to high standards but it so much money! you could get your self a good set of tyres or an upper range warn winch for that sort of monies! another thin worth pointing out is that its fibergalss.....not the strongest thing in the world....whats going to happen if you put it on its side?

looking at the kit you could leave it as a full length truck and just get way with massive tyres instead to sort out departure angle. that way you dont have the hassle of sva and you will save a chunk on fuel tank and pump to help pay for the big tyres. If your doing all that work truck cabing the making room for 37/40 inch tyres should be not to hard. :?

errrrrm.....no!
im looking at 37s on mine and they wont fit! 35s MAX with out major inner arch choppings or body lifts

Been looking at a few conversions and some will need sva and some can get around it etc, may just take 16 inches out the back and weld it together like what Paul has on his white one, as doing a full chop is going to be a pain in the arse :cry:

if you modify the chassis in ANY way you need an sva. there isnt a way of getting around it. the only way of getting around it is to not cut the chassis.
