Really keen on how yours looks, alot more than if it were tray back..
if your really that budding to do something original think about doing something with the arches..
and get those axles that are offestted so the diff is higher..
A quick thought, what do you actually do with your disco? you compete in her?
boss:
it will be going to russia in 2010 to compeete in TR3 at ladoga, already got portals sorted. have an idea for arches undecided on a winch
Disco-andy:
If your that bothered by having something diffrent then, then nether a pick up or try back cos both will get more popular over the next few years as there are more cheep discos about. My whole build so far has just hit £800 inc disco/tyres/tank/pump You could come up with some thing like the comp safri with a frame with panels, or any thing else you can dream up. I used this site for inspiration http://www.adrianstomcat.co.uk/OtherDonor.htm .
If it were me id leave the body and concentrate on the suspension design, are you planning 3 link /1 link stuff? I must admit i get lost when it come down to all that.
Are you planning on it being road legal or not at the end, well m.o.t. standards. I wont use the other 3 letters cos i have it when people bring them up.
boss:
it will be road legal for comp use but it will be more like an off roader that can go on the road. im not doing the buggie space frame thing, many people are currentley building this type of thing. it will probibly stay as a truck. there no doubt will be more and more disco trucks floating about in the next few years but im hoping/wanting mine to be different.
