X-Brake
Jimbo:
Just finished fitting an X-Brake to the 110. Monster piece of gear, very well made and fairly straight forward to fit - unless you've got anything on the PTO, then it's a bit of a pain.
My hydraulic pump sits on the back of the transfer box, and the inlet pipe to the pump is just where the X-Brake caliper lever needs to sit - but, the lever can be moved, so I moved it a couple of degrees, and all is well..........just need to find a 45deg slope to try it out :D

You can get a x-eng brake to fit on a transfer case with an overdrive fitted, surprised you haven't got that version.

Indeed it is the modded version - I had a long chat with Si from X-Eng (top bloke !), about which one to go for - and he explained that the only one they sell for Defenders now, is the modded PTO version.
Les Henson:
I fitted an Ashcrofts Transfer box to a 110V8 at the weekend. At the same time I fitted an X-brake. The vehicle also has an O/D and there were no problems at all with fitting the brake.
Les.
