Can i just make a little comment here.
1. Yes we are all home and safe!
2. It was an error on the part of the driver involved. The part that is a bridle way has obviously been driven before, whether that be by Mud Club members or anyone else. From looking at the lane it is an easy mistake to make.
3. We couldnt agree more about driving down bridle ways, but we were part of the rescue party. As was the second vechicle involved.
4. anyone driving the lane at Elford, should not attempt to drive the bridle way as you will definitely get stuck.
We apologies for any inconvenience caused, but when you are asked to help someone in distress (whether it be rightly or wrongly), you normally oblige.
Please dont take this post the wrong way, speaking as a woman it was a very frightening situation to be in, one which i would not like to be in again.
Please rest assured, Team Les Baty will not be driving the Elford Lane again (the correct part), we did not venture onto the Bridle way and would recommend that no one else does either.
If you have any problems with what i have written please feel free to PM and tell me so.
Please also lock this topic, so that we are not slated again.
Many thanks
Karen (Les Baty Co-Driver and Chief Navigator that doesnt drive on Bridle Ways, out of principle!!!)
