i passed my test!
muddyjames:
when I passed my test 9 years ago  the cheapeest insurance I could find was on a series landy. A series landy was about £400 cheaper thana fiesta. What can do more damage!!!
anyway. a series was the only vehicle that was in the hundreds of pounds rather than the thousands.
Trailer license is about £800 if you go through a training centre. Obviously not drive through one!!!
boss:
yes, am thinking about a series 3 or an earley 90...i know how to drive/fix landrovers unlike these stuped french things
muddyjames:
an early 90 you will find will make insurance rocket up. even a s3 with a defender front on it made ins companies not want to know!
Chris Putt:
Nice one, hers a little thing I found when I first passed..........
Fiestas, corsas, puntos, novas, pug 106, saxos etc all very expensive to insure, (all under 1100cc too)- Yet, my fiat uno 1.4i, (75 horsepowers dont you know!- in a car with a wet-weight of 710kg- went like F**K) was cheap as chips! Polos also seemed to be cheap at the time.
If you want a bit of simple, barn door engineering that is characterful and VERY cheap to run with an element of landroverness about it, look no further than an old Panda 4x4!!!! The mechanical equivalent of a mountain goat, group 1 insurance, stragely tardis-like inside and as simple as Kerry Mcfadden! Also you can put a viscous couple out of a sierra XR4x4 in one apparently so you can run permeanent 4wd, which means you can corner in them at speeds which defy the laws of physics.......
marky:
A driving licence, AND a job.
Nice one
