No Acceleration

Hi, my mum and dad have just got a N reg diesel jeep that they have had nothing but trouble from, first the starter went then then clutch and now it doesn't pick up speed and you can't get over 60mph they had the clutch changed only a few days ago and it was fine until they did that, does any one know what we can check to see if we can sort out the problem? cheers. 2000rpm and 60mph will be about the same ;)
It is important if it won't rev past 2000rpm, as this does point to a distinct problem, rather than just 60mph

It does rev past 2000rpm but doesn't pick up speed, your foot can be flat on the floor but it won't go any faster, 2ND gear is the worst for it. Ben

Check the condition of the intercooler hoses (internally) seem them collapse inside and block up
