bushes
peasey:
What i do is drill the outer sleve to split it carefully then smash it out with a hammer :evil:Are you putting standard bushes back or polybushes? If they are standard then your going to need a socket the right size to fit the outer sleve because the middle bolt sleve protrudes above outer sleve(you will see what I mean when you get there)polys are easy to refit and can be done usually by hand with plenty of grease.I have re fitted standard bushes with nothing more than a large copper mallet a couple of blocks of wood and the old bush outer sleve untill i managed to upgrade to a vice
boss:
jsut burn them out like i did, then all youll have to do is carefully cut the outersleeve which should then jsut come out with some persuasive taps from a chissel.
peasey:
I always avoided the burning out because i didnt want to burn down my garage and found the drill(you only have to drill one hole) way much quicker as i didnt have anything other than my fag lighter to burn it with  :lol:but i guess its just down to personal choice either way is just as good but with the drill technique you dont have to wait for the panhard to cool ;)
mud knight:
Thanks boys in the end we used a press, couldnt see it been done any other way :-k
freeagent:
I think you'd struggle with a vice, i've done them with a press (prefered method, and quickest/ cleanest) and burned them out, then cut the outher steel shells... its not as much hastle as you'd think, and is doable at home with just hand-tools...
if you are replacing with Polybushes (As I did) you can push them in by hand, or at worst with either a G-clamp or a vice...
