was going to ge the winch tray back on today but the portal box put up a fight! whos idea was it to rivvet the damn back plate to the drum! got it off though. with the drums, the pistons the shoes ant other assorted crap that came off i saved and weighed.......25.3kg! damn holmes!


graham at overland really showed me up with this, i was trying all sorts to get the outer plate off...5 minuites with him and it was off!


anyone need unimog brake stuff....come see me! :lol:

considering there 40 years old, give or take a few, there not too bad on the inside! i was expecting mayonaise!



these little blighters took ages to get out! there the pins that hold in thebrake shoes and they just diddnt want to come out.

urgahhhhhhh!

bloody heat! had to cut the welding session in favor of a cold shower! then back home.


front tray violation is compleete and in place. just needs welding. the job was only soposed to take an hour or two but took ages.











found a bloke in the states that can machine up new flanges for me so i can go back to landrover wheels and most importantly LR brakes. not
t paying $180 for new chevy or ford disks!

should i keep updating this? just seems that not to many are taking an interest so would i be better to horde pics and do a mass update, or leave it alone.
