Its all the wifes driving that causes it

the ammount of rear bearings i go through you would think i would have learnt by now and have spares  :-k

As expected i have nice new bearings, seal, locking washer, but...... no spacer  :'(

Oh, the joys of owning a land rover  :D

OK, Bodged it for now using a spare locking washer in place of the washer i havent got. All tightens up ok, and hopefully only need to last a couple of days getting me to and from work, until i get my hands on the correct item.

Used Timken bearings this time, so i hope they last a bit better than britpart ones. I think the problem may have been caused by my axel breather being blocked, and drawing water in through the bearing seal? The breather was sorted a couple of weeks ago, and the bearings on the other side look to be ok i.e. no chunks of metal fell out when i took the half shaft out, and the grease still looks like grease, and no wobble on the wheel.

so Fingers crossed  [-o<
