Disco DII Instruments Prob

Just replaced Batt (died) on my2000 D11 now on turn on speedo/tacho/fuel etc all twitching - any ideas?

ps continue as long as ignition is on no matter if engine is running!  :shock:
 Previously successully replaced injector loom so not oil in loom

Only thing I can think of is a poor earth on the battery :-k

If it was doing that with the engine running i would have said alternator but other than that as previously stated bad earth.
But i am no pro lol Just what i found on my old disco.
