I tried that one, but she said i wasnt allowed to do that until i had done it the hard way a few times!

Although we are hopefully moving in a few weeks so then i will get it all delivered cos i will be setting up the new house!

The only way I have found to deal with Christmas shopping (this has been proven to work for Cardiff and Chester, both of which are between 90 and 120mins away depending on how many Noddys you get stuck behind).

Get up early. You want to be out of the house at 0700hrs.

Drive straight there, you'll find the car parks pretty much empty.

Breakfast in a department store is tasty (decent fry-up) and cheap too. Plus you're now in the right place to buy some of the presents. Hit the shops just as they open.

If you get it right then you will be coming back to your car, bags in hand, just as the rest of the world is trying to get into the city and park. You then enjoy a peaceful drive back as everyone else is going the other way!
