Bush Tucker Man:
With a nod in the direction of Andys 'Cartoon Charactor' topic, I thought this might also gain plenty of comments.

Which, or what, were your favourite TV progammes from the past?

It might be a factual, comedy, scientific.......

Suggestions please.

Bush Tucker Man:
Number one has got to be;
'The Dukes Of Hazzard'; Daisy & the 'General', a great combination.
A damn good cast all in all. Promoted family values & respect for others
Also responsible for destroying almost 400 1969 Dodge Chargers :(

M*A*S*H; The best ever army comedy. Ever.
Very serious at times when it needed to be. Longest running comedy on American TV. Reputed to still be broadcast every minute of the day somewhere in the world.

'Till Death Do Us Part'; Alf Garnett. A classic. Still (surprisingly) shown on SKY. The episodes with 'Marigold' were the best.

'Sykes'; Eric Sykes, Hattie Jaques & Derek Guyler

'Last Of The Summer Wine'; Great cast ('specially Wesley), marvellous locations & a predictable - but none the worse for it- type of humour. Sadly the 'original' cast get thinner all the time.

'Heartbeat'; Don't watch it, but wonderful locations. I certainly can't watch it without thinking of Derek Foulds as 'Mr Derek', with Basil Brush.

'Bilko'; The precursor to 'Top Cat'

More up to date;
'Salvage Squad'
'Scrapheap Challenge'
'Industrial Revelations' (SKY)
'What The ......Did For Us' (various topics with Adam Hart-Davis)
'What The Industrial Revolution Did For Us' (Dan Cruickshank)
'Seven Wonders Of The Industrial World'
'Extreme Engineering' (SKY)
'Military Motors' (SKY)
Anything with Fred Dibnah in it :)

'Star-Trek: Voyager'; Anything with Jeri Ryan (7 of 9) in it gets my vote :D

And 'The Award For The Best Ever Medical Comedy' goes to;

 'SCRUBS'
 A truely superb (American,surprisingly) series, I can recognise most charactors as people at our Hospital (especially in our department)
