Disco-andy:
well it all turned out ok,
Failed mot, on
*front brake discs worn , now all done and i found new wheal bearings properly done with new washers and nuts on both sides.
*rear upper shock bushes, had a polly bush kit in the shed
*hand brake need ajusting
*a few bulbs
*and a leaky powered steering pipe, easy.. replaced
And i found the original 6 disc CD changer under the seat! and the original roof bars, never even seen them before.
Disco Matt:
The only annoying thing about the original roof bars is that the rearmost one is a swine to remove - you end up trying to press a sharp-edged button against a very stiff spring with the end of a finger, which hurts!
