fuel pump tweak

Disco_Stu:
Good luck Boss, its on my list of jobs to do.

Let us know how you've got on, we've just mounted a massive intercooler on a mates truck, its already made a difference but fueling is next.

Its really handy - use his truck and wallet as a test bed, if its good, do mine :)

--- Quote ---If needs be, you can shorten the waste-gate actuator rod and increase the boost. You may need to remove the actuator and cut a bit off the end of the rod to allow sufficient adjustment in the sleeve portion (don’t take too much off at once – better do it in 3mm increments !). What you will find is the rod is too long to get more boost, as too much of it screws into the sleeve and bottoms out. You will have to shorten it quite a way to get more than 1 bar boost – but this is often all you need. 200 Tdis run at 0.7 – 0.8 bar – you can safely increase this to 1 bar – 300Tdi’s run at 1 bar already – best left alone!

i 've got to agree with this don't touch the turbo on a 300

boss:
turbo mechanics is a delicate science that i do not pretend to understand! therefore i will be staying well away from there!

Budgie:
This Dodge Ram site was the place I used to do my 300 TDi. They use the same injector pump as Land Rover but pay attention to the warnings!!
If you've got the standard intercooler then I would only rotate the diaphram through 90° otherwise you're only wasting fuel.  ;)

boss:
ok chaps, im off to the garage. should be done by then end of today  but knowing my luck it wont!
