Disco1 aeriel

JPJ:
An easy job, my old one snapped off just like yours. :)
Take the wheel arch liner out carefully so that you can reuse the plastic studs. Get your hand up there to steady the remaining part and undo the top nut with your other hand - or get a friend! Cut the wire. Put the new aerial in place then overlap the old and new cables by 6" and wrap with gaffer tape. Take the radio out. Disconnect the aerial lead and pull the cable through bringing the new cable with it. Reconnect and install radio. Re-install the wheel arch liner.

Or do what i did, Just buy a complete aerial and 5m extension cable and then move the aerial to somewhere more protected,
mines currently attched to the roof, folded flat so that any overgrown vegetation cant touch it.

But  on mine i went a bit mad and moved the stereo and speakers to the roof lining, but it now means when im stuck in a puddle with water upto the transmission housing the stereo keeps playing
