Headlight Bulbs
hobbit:
--- Quote from: "jims jimny" ---why not fit a light bar across the front of the roof rail's and fit 4 spots with relays that will give you more than enough light
wire them to a separate on/off switch that has a light to show there on/off
quote]
Wont need a warning light on the circuit, you could tell if they were on by
1...The daylight look in front of you and,
2...The vehicle coming towards you in the dark is wavering all over the road, due to him being blinded
Seriously, I know you should have an illuminated switch on these lights

Hmm, didn't really want to go down the route of fitting spots, bit of a mechanical/electrical no hoper you see and I hate forking out shedloads to garages.
I thought it was just a question of whipping the old bulbs out and sticking the uprated ones in. Doesn't say anything in the ads about relays, wiring etc.
Will need to think about this one.
:?
hobbit:
It really depends on the condition of the wiring on the suzis, never really looked at them.
You can buy relay kits for this job readily with easy to follow instructions, if you know a friend who can help you its not that bigger job, whether you add the extra lights or upgrade the bulbs.
With the bulb upgrade I did on the discovery, it was a must the wiring was not strong enough to support the extra power needed, and would have damaged it
Have you looked on the condition of the headlights themselves, are they yellowed or rusty on the silver inner, that wont help the light
jims jimny:
check with suzuki they should be able to tell you what the max bulb you can fit
if not a GOOD accessory shop

watch out for that "oop's to late"
robbie:
Honestly, fitting a relay and some other bits is NOT a major issue.... Help would be on here I am sure...... you just need to be able to understand straight lines for a wiring diagram..... and if you colour code it, it is dead easy... dont go to a garage......
