I'm looking for a trolley jack - whats a useful size for working on a 90?
I'm looking around 2 ton - will this be enough (not planning on lifting the whole vehicle with it )

Cheers

It's what I have and has done the job nicely for a few years now. It happily lifts the rear axle up lifting both whels off the ground.

Obviously I support the axle with stands if I work under it!

By the way. My disco with full tank of diesel is 2250kg on the works weigh bridge so only really lifting 1 tonne if the whole rear axle is off the floor.

2 tonne plenty enuff, with axle stands blocks etc........

Landyman:
I have 3 three tonne ones  perhaps that's a little excessive

SEDDEY:
I have a 2 ton one. The ony problem I find is that the wheels do tend to sink into anything but the firmest groung unless on a board. The only thing that I find a minor problem is the actual lift, hence again the board!

Come to think about it, I have actually used it like this to get out of muddy feild when the disco sank, so a 2 ton one is fine as long as its on good ground/board!!
