yup at 6am after the very chilly dog walk my doors were tricky to open, starter motor did a click then fired into life thankfully, leccy ariel didnt go up so a silent trip into work and took 5 minutes to scrape the windscreen. Must buy some de-icer this year!

The disco sat still all day and behaved and slolwy thawed. You didnt really expect all the above from a land rover did you? It is booked in with local garage on Thurs to have glow plugs wired in to a sepperate switch so I have a chance of starting it!

What I find most annoying is all the ice that ends up in your lap after you've finished scraping the inside of the windscreen.

It was the sun i had a problem with today , don't think the wash n wax in the washers helps . The other prob i have is the light bar fitting acts as a dam for the gutter, when it rains its like a waterfall, it's a pain because i always drive with the window down a touch , anyone else have this prob or is it my "design fault" .

I have this on my Discovery as well, bloomin annoying. I keep meaning to get wind deflector things which should stop it.

Err...  Have you checked the fuse?  ;)

I go to work on the train, and I have to admit that I don't miss having to scrape the windows in the morning. My last car was a nightmare - you'd sit with the engine running to de-mist the windscreen, then as soon as you moved off it would mist up again. Or re-freeze.

Maybe I'll get to try the heated windscreen, mirrors and seats in my Freelander at some point.
