Nissan LD28 6cyl diesel engine

(1/2) > >>

Hangover:
Has any body fitted one of these engines into a Range Rover?

hobbit:
I've heard they have been done, not actually seen one though

drmike:
Is this the small bus deisel engine? In which case a friend has one and I have driven it.

It's a bit old fashioned in that the throttle is really an on off switch but it has bags of torque and will just pull and pull.

If he'd sell it to me at reasonable cost I'd buy it in a trice!

He did the conbversion and it's very neat but I think it took some doing.

Xtremeteam:
my mate had a rrc with a sprinter bus engine init & whilst offroadin it came down a bit hard & the axle breather punched a neat hole in the sump

Hangover:
It's a 2.8td engine which originally was used in the Nissan Laurel car and its similar to the RD28 fitted to some Nissan Patrols.I have one which was fitted in a Range Rover and was going to put it in mine but i'm not happy with the clutch set up.
