Has anyone got any advice on Code Readers for TD5 Disco's. Just wondering about one so that I can check fault codes before deciding if it's a DIY fix, trip to the local garage, or main dealer.

Found plenty on ebay but with dramatic price differences so there must be some form of difference.

Also where do they plug in? is there a socket inside or under the bonnet.

My advice is dont bother. i tried loads and couldnt find one that worked. Bite the bullet and buy a Nanocom aprox £250.
They plug into the OBD socket  found just above your clutch pedal
