bonnet wont open??

after some getting it muddy yesterday the bonnet wont open the cable seems stiff any idears? how do you open it if the cable snaps? cheers

with great difficulty..
this happened on mine  the catch is full of mud  i had to wedge it open with a screwdriver from the front

it kept happening too  so i took off the catch and fitted some bonnet pins like these

managed to get it open in the end with a hammer and screwdriver jet wash and wd40 :D!
