These things come as a complete surprise to me. Never seen anything like them before  The archive film at the bottom of the page is amazing
Wireless:
Saw some american on a programme with a similar design of personal water transport, a couple of years ago, not sure which programme (could have been top gear), but I think the american was claiming it as a first, like they always do.
Lord Shagg-Pyle:
What an amazing machine. I wonder how it would cope with a heavy sea? :?
Boddle:
I saw a a TV program that a friend had recorded when i was working in Germany (about 10 year ago), they where looking at battleships with speed of 200+mph amazing things. apparently able to cope up to a 3 meter waves(the best hieght to maximize ground effect is 3 above water) which is not massive. This is the first time I've seen some one use one over land or ice.
crazymac:
I've seen some footage of the huge one of them, amazing piece of kit. Designed during the cold war, the American spy satelites captured photos on that in the 60's and it sent them into turmoil trying to find out more about it.
