Hi-Lift Jack adapter

I want to make myself a hi-lift jack adapter thing (the one with the round bar on it).

Has anyone got one that they could measure for me so that I can go and buy all the angle etc from the local forge please?

I've noticed that some are a simple |_| shape with bar welded on top and some seem to have little pads on the inside of the u section.  Are the pads important?

If someone is able to measure the side wall and width of the u-section and also the bar diameter or cirumference I would be very very grateful.

I'm planning on buying a few meters of each so if anyone wants one making then let me know!

How much?  They did have cheap ones at Paddock's but they got withdrawn due to a few 'failures'.
