That not good whats happening to your friend :rolleyes:Does he stand a chance of getting his money back, Are the police doing him for handling stolen goods ?
biggerlandy:
In a nice and legal type way I will keep you informed, as it goes the police are not interested in getting his money back. We have been told that once the Landy has been checked the insurance company that paid out on it will offer it to my mate to buy it back. Funny it as advertised on Landyzone.

A point to ponder for your mate. Anything that your mate has put on the vehicle (tyres etc) are his property. SO if the insurance company want the vehicle back then your mate is fully entitled to remove his property. I am sure he could find receipts for tyres, alternator, battery................. thenhe could offer to buy the now "scrap" vehicle parked on his drive. There is also the question of storage. If the vehicle is still in your mates posession, he is within his rights to charge for storage.
£30 a day for storage should bring the bill down by quite a bit

100% agree
The first request was nice and polite; why can't people listen to polite requests instead of forcing Mods to get heavy handed?
If you don't like the rules nobody forces you to use the forum
--- End quote ---
And where have I said I didn't like the rules. I offered a suggestion that would allow people to know who this moron is. The mod said he wasn't happy with it and I agreed not to follow that suggestion through. my reply was "Fair enough" how you can convert that into "If you don't like the rules nobody forces you to use the forum"?? is beyond me!!
