Can i fit 33" tyres on a standard height defender to get it it home?

i will change the ride height etc later, but i am looking at swapping the wheels and driving the vehicle home?

yes they'll fit with no problems. On a std height Defender they only slightly rub on plastic arches on full articulation, so you ride home will be no problem.
