Did they come as standard on the Mk1, IIRC some skid plates did like the transfer case, cant be sure about the front steering skid  :D

The Smiths:
They came as part of upgrade packs if I remember right

Came on the SE spec, or as an option

sadly not fitted on mine..
but will try a few breakers for some underbody protection :dance:
not sure about the se spec but my mate drives one also a 96 mk1 ill check under his see whats there,
if anything that is,
guess i need to do all three as a starting point... :roll:

The Smiths:
I've just fitted a tank guard today - have been offroading for a year without one - then old tank sprung a leak, when I took it off it was somewhat dented - that would explain why I was not getting as much in the tank
