Just replace the outer wing skin and closing panel either side and it's back to normal.

a friend had the same sort of thing, but it was done properly, series3 and not a light weight.

edy:
i would agree with AndyMacG, it looks like one of the aussie motors. i think they did it because of there terrain, cut the wings this way it stops twigs etc from getting stuck in the arches and making a racket.
