cv joints ???
Range Rover Blues:
Yeap, if you've been through water then join the club. They won't be loose for the purposes of the MOT but the chrome plated surface will be long gone and they run rough as a badger's armpit. You might feel how rough just be jacking up a wheel and spinning it.
trickydicky:
all 4 wheels feel smooth when spun can you think of anything else? thanks hopefuly richard
Range Rover Blues:
Checked the diff oil :-k
IIRC you have a rumbling, worst on corners that you can feel through the brake pedal. It's definitely in the hubs, or it's 2 different problems.
Mark_Solesbury:
Loose caliper? - Check the two bolds that hold the calliper to the swivel housing.
Warped Disk? - jack it up and spin it look at a static part (Mud Shield if its there) and watch the gap - i doubt its this, but worth a check.
Swivel Pins? - jack it up get someone to shake the wheel left right up down. I feel for play between the rubber seal of the oil seal and the chrome ball.
V8MoneyPit:
Or could it be a knackered panhard rod bush so it goes metal to metal on cornering? But I would have expected the MOT to pick this up.
