twin battery simple cheap set up...
lee celtic:
Hi All
A while back sombody posted very good pictures and diagrams of fitting another battery ..
Not a fancy smart relay fit just fitting another battery for more umph
I want to fit a second one to keep it alive over the winter it is the battery out of our caravan . I bought it from a landy dealer in scotland when the old van battery died so both the batteries are the same size and ampage I just want to keep them both topped up.
any info would be good and yes I have tried to search for it but I can't find it ..
cheers Lee...
Disco-Ron:
Lee, simply strap it into the NS front of the engine bay, and then connect + to +, and - to-....... job done.
Disco_Stu:
Dead easy Lee, wire live to live, run the cable across by the front of the rad, it'll tuck neatly under the rubber seal. Run the earth to the chassis directly below the second battery and voila!, done.
No fancy split charging just plenty of amp hours for turning over on cold mornings. I run a few gadgets of my second battery also, terminals are less busy and its on the right side for running wires up the snorkel etc.
Stu.
