Fitting trailer jockey wheel
(1/1)
carbore:
I have a trailer with no jockey wheel, picked up a wheel/pole today for a good price of the right width but.
My trailer has 2 place to it a wheel, one cast into the hitch (Bradley)
The other bolted to the side, currently with a post in it.
Id like to put my wheel in the central casted hole, but it needs to be disassembled. Do you just unscrew them all the way, or will I end up in a mess of springs/circlips etc. If its no use ill just fit ithe wheel where the post is.
Any help appreciated.
muddysteve:
just unscrew em all the way
shouldnt be any springs or anything silly
waveydavey:
Jack the trailer front high, unscrew the jockey wheel so it comes apart and feed it up then put the top on.
Saves a lot of effort.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully be the end of next week I should have a fully working trailer, now I can buy even more cars that dont work!
