Movment sensors

(1/1)

bigwood:
I have an L / Reg 200TDI Disco with the standard alarm fitted, and it still works. I had to leave my truck in a big city with my dog in the back, windows down all round and doors locked. Obviously as soon as the dog moves he sets off the alarm because of the movement sensors. Is there any way of turning the sensors off and still locking the doors. It wasn't a problem leaving the truck unlocked with my dog in it, he gets very personal about his space  :, but I sometimes have dads dog in there and she would let you take the truck and her with it

I had the same problem. Found out that by locking the doors with the key imobilizes the sensors.

Disco_Stu:
Unplug the sensors. It may be a bit fiddly but if drop the headlining at the front (Just the roof console and visors) you can reach up and unplug the wire from the back of the sensors. 20 minute job.
