300tdi, southdown snorkel, and twin batteries.... HOW???

(1/2) > >>

Disco-Ron:
As above, really wanna fit the 2nd battery in front of the airbox, but thats where the intake is....

Any ideas..???

Range Rover Blues:
The Safari snorkel fits inside thw ing panel, and comes through betwen the inner wing and the air box (which has to be moved) there's a partial cut-out in one of the panels IIRC to acomodate it.

If the southdown snokel fits in a different way then it's going to cause a problem, I believ the car was designed to make fitting 2 batteries and a Safari style possible, so I'm surpised if Southdown have got it wrong :-k

mobi:
i didn't have to move the air box in mine for a safari snokel and i had to blank off the front air pipe. so i have more room to fit a second battery (but have not fitted one)(think it's only when you have abs you have to move the air box)

with the southdown snokel i think the 200 only went half way down the inner wing (don't quote me on that) so it could be worth looking at putting a 200tdi air box on.

ChrisW70:
The Southdown snorkel runs all the way to the front, comes out in flexi-pipe in the second battery tray area and connects to the 300 air box where the original air intake was fitted - right across the corner of where a second battery fits.

Easiest solution is to fit a 200 air box (assuming it hasn't got ABS) - you can seal the 200 air box a lot easier as well.

Lyndsey731:
I have a Southdown snorkel and twin batteries and as the lads have said use a 200 airbox.
