Towing electrics loom position

Hi All

Removed the loomfor the towing electrics as they were shot, looking at the back of the vehicle what side is the electrics for the lights etc.  it had 2 sockets, one fed from the left hand side one fed from the right hand side?

Only want to re-instate the towing electrics for trailer, not running additional electrics on caravan etc etc.

Can you remember which way the 'black' cable went?. That's the 12n cable for the trailer, the other should have been a grey cable which is the the 12s supply for caravan fridges, chargers and reverse lights.

On mine they both go to the right - below the rear light cluster but mine is the TD5 so could be different to your 300.

should be behind the drivers side rear light cluster - multi pin socket for the lights and 2 bullet connectors for the 12S.

cheers guys, the black lead goes to the drivers side, which is great gonna punch whole through rear panel and mount socket just below light cluster..

I would put the socket into the rear door just left of the spare tyre as it is more central for the leccy cable from the trailer to go otherwise when you go round a right hand corner the cable will probably drag on the ground as the socket will be that much closer to the trailer and a left hand corner will need alot more stretch as it will be further away.
