wheres the starter motor, can you get a live to that easily . would definatly be easier than going down the alternater route..alan

I never thought about trying to back feed via the starter, I shall have a look in the morning to see if it would be easier to access.

Would it be possibel to move the discovery?
For example by lifting the rear axle with trolly jacks and then pushing/pulling the discovery to get it away from the wall. I've seen for sale skates designed for putting under wheel for mozing vehicles about on.

I thought about that as well, the only problem I forsee is that its on a slight(very slight) slope. I was thinking that utilising the centre lock hand brake that would allow me to move the front and rear alternatively. I guess you are feeling how dumb I feel myself by now.

Do you have a towbar fitted? if so there might be a battery live to one of the terminals.
