Yes I do have a towbar fitted, I guess you are thinking that if I can Identify a feed to the lights then I could backfeed, but for a constant feed to be present would a switch not have to be on I may be able to get my daughter to reach the colum if I can get the door open enough I reckon I have around four inches space.

Range Rover Blues:
You could backfeed through a light but if you have the 7S socket (white or grey) then one wire will always be live, the green one.  A wire for it is provided in the wiring loom in the RH rear corner, but unlike a RRC you can't get straight to it from outside.

I do recall RAC patrolment short out the starter in order to try unlocking the central locking system but I don't know that's much use to you.
