Man-tears
padjy:
My best friend was killed about 4 years ago in a bike accident, he was like my brother, took it really hard and went completely off the rails and its only just recently ive started feeling any sort of emotion again, i just constantly felt numb, ive been with Jess a while and we are both deeply in love, got a ring just waiting for the right time to propose.
Also shes now 15 weeks pregnant and her mum sent some baby grows and a pair of boots shed nitted and seeing them made me cry. it was the first time id showed any form of proper emotion since just after my friends funeral.
I know it sound like a dodgy cliche but it seriously felt like a massive weight had been lifted, its amazing to feel that Jess finally got me to open up after such a long time of not wanting to get close to anyone incase they were taken away :)

Life is a real challenge sometimes mate, and I hope it all goes well for you both and the little one :) Truly becoming a parent is one of life's great experience's.
Cheers

Watching My ex girlfriends 12 year old daughter who had cerebal Palsy. Die in Alderhey after her shunt became blocked. For those of you with TV images of someone silently slipping away as the machines are turned off. the reality couldn't be further from the truth. The body fights for every last breath. 12 hrs in this case. And attending her funeral a few weeks later. are the worse moments of my life and still bring tears.

Cheers keith,
i know what you mean, lifes got its ways of kicking you squarely in the spuds at the worst possible moment, Hence the reason got me new tattoo done, had "life Wont Wait" done right down me side on me ribs. Was a scary thought being a dad at 21 but im really looking forward to it. Me Mam had me at 16 and she thinks im mad having one this young but its going to happen one day and at least ill be young enough to spend a lot of my life watching them grow up and be able to see grandchildren gow up hopefully aswell :D

Red,
Cant imagine anything worse mate, me Mam used to work at alderhey and couldnt do it, she said exactly the same thing, that they dont just pass away as soon as the machines are switched off, they fight it untill the very end. Especially with kids, paerents arent suposed to outlive theyre kids. Everyone has noticed how much ive changed since finding out mine is on the way. smokings coming to a stop and me driving has got a lot less aggressive! when theres something like children to focus on everything is shown in a new light.
Thoughs are with you and your ex mate. ;)
