Never thought this day would come

I guess its the price differential on what you can claim back. (government led figures)
in my diesel golf I can claim back 13p per mile and the fuel is £1.25 say perlitre - I get approx 43mpg average from my golf.
The audi is a TT 2.0TFSI and I can claim back 15p per mile and the fuel is 10% cheaper per litre at £1.13ish mpg I got on the same route was 37mpg.
I have only had diesel cars since 1990 so this is quite a shock to my system.
Range Rover Blues:
13p/mile
I'd have one thing to say to that mate. "POOL CAR"
Given a choice there's no way I'd put miles on my own motor for the cost of the petrol alone. The gov't allows 40p/mile for about 10,000miles.
Lordy, I was getting more than that from Ford 20 years ago for a small engine, and they sold spare parts to us a cost too.

RRB,
the 13 ppm is for the fuel only, the company supply the car and everything else - I just have to put fuel in then claim back the rate per mile. the idea is that it doesnt make a profit else mr tax man :police: comes looking.
