Beach Ranger Land Rover stuck on beach

The cynic in me says that was a publicity stunt to scare off the public from driving on the beach, along the lines of if a pro can get stuck in a landy then mere mortals don't stand a chance.
 
Either that or the driver had all the ability behind the wheel of a sheep.

Drift:
I go there quite often to walk the dog as its only 15 minutes away, one time about 18 months ago I had to borrow a tow rope from the wardens to help pull out a vectra and a horse box on the sands, they refused to help for some reason. :?

Defender:
There was a vacancy for a Beach Ranger job advertised in the local paper a couple of months ago.
4wd experience was only a 'desirable' requirement, not an 'essential' requirement.  :roll:
