Land Rover broke my wiper

I took the disco to LR to have the clutch changed this morning, with all work they do they carry out a 40 point check, on the advisory they stated the rear wiper blade was split, I noticed the wiper was in the middle of the screen, so I pressed the wiper button to reset it.  Nothing, so I got out to look, the wiper arm has been snapped off and was perched in position.  But they obviously have touched it to tell me it has a split blade???
What comeback do I have????

Id take it back to them.Clearly they have broke it they should sort it..

agreed... play hell, dont take no **** from them.

chances are the apprentise didnt understand that checking a wiper shouldnt envolve dragging the whole mechanism over the spare wheel.

Did you report this to them when you collected the vehicle ?

If you have taken the vehicle away and some time has passed, then they might choose to argue that it wasn't them...  depends on how much they want to keep you as a customer.....
