the owners, numpty boyfriend not maintaining the blooming thing.  I'd borrowed her disco for a week to go and work away and the brakes went on me just as I arrived at my destination So I had to change the pads before I could drive it anywhere else. the discs are a mess Told him they needed changing about 3 months ago and he still hasn't done it.

Ja1983:
i too had the same affliction! although been an old disco, the rear pad had slipped onto the disc flange, not only creating a 4mm deep grrove, but at the same time seizing up 2 (inside) sliders, and blessing me with a bit of play in the nearside wheelbearing!

...add to that the rear brake pipe that looked a bit damp.. a week later it was positively wet, and of course that wasnt straight forward either, the bleed nipples were corrode and siezed, and the end sheared in the t-piece.....

2 pipes and a new t-piece later brakes still dont feel 100%, although the front pads are next on the priority list.

dont you just love landrovers?!
