I could be wrong but diesel is getting cheaper

Did you not notice the 'laughing icon'?????, or is your reply really to be taken in the 'same vein'??
For a car like that, we're happy to pay a bit extra, but it's probably cheaper than running a petrol Series/90/110/Range Rover :-k
Okay, I'll admit I have seen 4MPG from it, but that's on a 'full-bore' start (done in pure experimentation), but how many people drive around like that?? (bar the Chavs in their Saxos, Corsas??)
However, with an apparant average so far of 24-25MPG, we're not complaining that much.

Okay, the running an XKR comment was added in a spirit of fun to try & lighten the debate, & I sincerely do hope that Merlins addition was meant in the same spirit?
