Plain ignorance and impatience, I think I'd have threatened to shove his car where the sun don't shine,  :evil: just cos he's getting on a bit doesn't excuse his behaviour in fact he should know better!

You think that's bad manners, try holding one open for a Doctor in a Hospital :evil:

When you look at them & say "Thankyou" on their behalf (as they're too ignorant to do so), they look at you as though you've suddenly grown two heads.

They must be like officers in the forces, so far up their own ****.  I always say sarcastically  "You're welcome" and make sure they hear!!
